You say no... okay let's find out.
    1. Virus, they replicate quickly - okay, Windows does that.
    2. Viruses use up valuable system resources, slowing down the systems as they do so - hmmm...okay, Windows does that.
    3. Viruses will, from time to time, trash your hard disk - oops! okay, Windows does that too.
    4. Viruses are usually carried, unknown to the user, along with valuable programs and systems. Sigh ... Windows does that too
    5. Viruses will occasionally make the user suspect their system is too slow (see 2) and the user will buy new hardware. Alright ... yup, that's with Windows too.

Hmmm....until now it seems Windows is a Virus. Hey, look but there has to be some fundamental differences: Let's see!!
    Viruses are:
    • well supported by their authors
    • are running on most systems
    • their program code is fast, compact and efficient
    • and they tend to become more sophisticated as they mature
Bravo!! Windows is not a virus!

The difference is you control windows and brake your own system, where as a virus takes control of a system and messes it up.

If you use a windows system and slow it down then your the problem.

I use Vista Ultimate 64 and would disagree that it's a virus.

I am rather comfortable with Vista right now. I don't see Windows as virus. You decide whether you want to upgrade or not. No one forces you.
