For now windows 7 does a great job. If you are smart enough, Linux is the best, you can choose from a number of distributions to your liking.
Windows 7 is very good. I will not be moving to Windows 8, because it seems like it will fail just like Vista did.
I have to admit my favourite is still Win XP pro and i still cannot see the advantage to upgrade to Win7 although all my laptops and PCs are all new i still install Win Xp,reliability is the name of the game for me.
Windows 7 is the best product for desktop and it is built for speed. It has key performance improvements to take up less memory and run background services only when you need them. It is designed to run your programs faster and to sleep, resume, and reconnect to wireless networks quicker.
Windows 7 is defiantly the top Operating System for windows, and I believe it'll stay like that. After running a trail of Windows 8, I can firmly say that Windows 7 is here to stay for a while.
before using windows7 i used windows vista.i have duel core processor,1GB RAM,250 GB hard disk.but with this configuration windows vista would not run well.it makes my computer slow.after using windows 7 i have not had to face such type of problem and my computer is running well.so i think windows 7 is better than rest of two operating system.
I'm a big fan of Windows XP; there's a lot to love in that operating system (OS). I also have a huge crush on Windows 7, which recently surpassed Windows Vista as the second-most used Microsoft OS. But guess which OS is still No. 1? That's right, our old friend Windows XP -- and by a wide margin. And, although there are good reasons to dump XP for Windows 7, there are also excellent reasons for keeping XP around.
