While it is faster indeed and great looking, I think XP is still a better choice. Or Linux, better also.

Yes is the best. It's new and it's quite like xp but with another interface, functions & stuff (something like vista + xp). I'm using it since 2009 and it's great, no errors, no unwaited restarts or another problems with my PC. With XP, on my laptop I got a lot of problems...think that I will install there windows 7 too.

    1. Windows 7 is faster than Windows XP.
    2. Windows 7 has a lot of new and enhanced features than Windows XP.
    3. Windows 7 looks nice and is designed for touchscreen computers.
    4. Windows 7 has virtual Windows XP SP3 compatibility mode.
    5. It is not easy to upgrade from Windows 7 to Windows XP. You need to do a clean install if you have Windows XP installed on your computer.

I am a avid user of Microsoft OS, from Windows98 up to the latest Win7, i choose WinXP, compatibility wise XP has an edge with those other OS that Microsoft have produce, I have tried Win7 but have given me hard time to install some programs.

No windows operating system, in my opinion, beats XP. I don't think I'll ever migrate from it. It's as stable and reliable as a tank and isn't too old to miss out on various important functions - not the silly functions like the glass effect Vista and 7 give, for example.

I love Windows 7. It's the best thing since XP. I am sure you will have Apple Mac users who will disagree.

I was a little skeptical at first but I love windows 7. I've never really messed with vista I went strait from xp to 7 but it seems to be faster and looks cleaner so I would have to say it's my favorite operating system out there right now.

For people who say they won't migrate, you are loosing out allot... microsoft did good this time, they have OS that doesn't suck!

I had vista and linux in dual boot for a while, but after installing win7 I don't load ubuntu anymore...

win7 is more then a glass look, it has outstanding driver support, better then any mac or linux anyways (god I hate dwindling with drivers for linxes :p) - win7 is stable, and very fast to boot, XP can gracefully move into the grave...

    Windows 7 64-bit is BEAST AKA BAD A$$. I <3 Windows 7 64-bit!!!

It has the speed of Windows XP, no FASTER than Windows XP. With more functionality, features, a better interface, and so much more to offer!
