    Wow! How much did the Ultimate version cost you? It doesn't sound like it's very ultimate if it's essential that you install security software as well.

    Well it's cost Rs 17000 (Pakistan Rupees) for me and work like charm.I have seen many of my friends use Win XP they got Infected with USB Viruses almost every month (they have good Anti-Virus Installed too) but for me it's good No Virus since I installed and it's running nice since I installed..

    It doesn't sound like they're using good anti-virus software. I've never been infected or installed anti-virus software but I don't use windows.

    The retail price of that "Ultimate" version is 44.000PKR here but the even-less-Microsoft-responsibility(OEM) version costs around what you paid.

    It is probably the ONLY one he has used.

    However, he said BEST which means he must have used at least THREE operating systems. The other two were probably IBM OS2 and Radio Shack TRS, which skews his view of the OS world.

    windows 7 is great , but , it really depends,, on what kind of user you are. some people might find mac to be a better os, or ubuntu.

    Comparing with all microsoft OS we can say windows 7 is the best recent release from microsoft. Window XP is also good.

    In my opinion, the best operating system out there is Linux Ubuntu. It has proved to be better. Just my thoughs.
