Hi guys! what do you think about good old winamp player? you know i know many people who are against this player cause of large memory, but i have to admit that at the same time it create really good quality sound, i mean mp3 other formats i didnt hear so i wount assure you in this.i always use to update my winamp and i have to say not all versions are the best ,even with some fixes it wishes to be the best, so if you have good quality sound system at home or earphones, you can really be pleassured by sound of winamp... so what about video? hmm..interesting question, but there a lots of video players..but as for me, really good in video is alloy player...very convinient programme... so lets share ideas... thanks...
Old versions of Winamp were great. This is true for other media players as well. Windows Media Player classic was lean and virtually DRM free, unlike that bloated piece of crap that comes bundled with Windows now.
I've used winamp and it was fantastic but took up too much space and I didn't use it all that much. I use iTunes now!
I used to use winamp till v 3.0 & when they brought v 5.0 I shifted to built-in windows media player 9.0 - 10.0. As far as possible I avoid installing extra s/w. thanks to XP...
i see...i have to say that almost 70 percent of people would say 'dont use' cause of much memory or space...
I used to use Winamp all the time, but have slowly moved over to iTunes. Winamp is taking longer and longer to start up with every new version, I remember the days on my old P3 when Winamp would load in milliseconds, now it takes about 5 seconds to start playing. I don't have 5 seconds to spare! iTunes is no better in terms of speed or memory use, but at least it's pretty. And although I've tried various third party apps to update my iPods, none of them are as 'invisible' as iTunes. I use Winamp to listen to individual wav files or mp3s that I'm working on. I use iTunes to play albums, to 'listen' to music, and manage my iPods. I use MPC to watch movies.
for it still the best other than player..the sounds really good than Media Player..Only for songs..for movies I prefer Power DVD
I prefer winamp over WMP. Like 'kasami', I also use VLC for movies. It's kind of ugly, but it plays almost every format under the sun as well as partially downloaded files.
