Hello, this may be a dumb question but I wanna know that because I will use the wiki content in my site.
The Wikimedia Foundation does NOT own copyright of articles and illustration...However, they do own the copyright on the Wikipedia/Wikimedia logos (trademarked)
Wikipedia contents are owned by the public. Contents there are contributed by internet users. Hence, they are not copyrighted.
Wikipedia content is written by users of the wikipedia so its a OPEN PUBLIC CONTENT But even if you use , it would be duplicate in eyes of search engines, so i wouldn't advice it
you can use Wikipedia content. but it can't help you in search engines. because search engine like only original and fresh content.
