I am planning to use free WIFI in some campus to attract students visiting my site. Is there any good solution and good case study you can share with me? My current systems: 1. People will see the logo 2. If they want high speed connection they have to see my youtube video, if not they will have low speed 3. They will be re-direct to my site before access other sites 4. Each session last for 1 hour then they have to see the video again.
So you'll offer free wifi but when they connect your site will pop up? Sounds like a good plan - assuming that students want whatever it is that you sell. If you just want them to click ads it'll backfire because they'll all be on the same IP and the ad provider will see it as click bombing.
Thank you for replying, I want them to visit my site first. In the future when the network is large enough, I will sell ads service to other business.
Are there other WiFi providers that you are competing with? Why would they use yours and not others? Are you known as a person or brand already? There's a bit of publicity about how easy it is to harvest logins etc if you control the WiFi source. How will you build confidence in your users that you are trustworthy?
Thanks for adding more detail to your initial post. #4 is a killer. If I was on campus studying online I'd avoid a wifi network that interrupted me like that. If there were alternatives I'd use them instead. Which brings me back to
Thanks for your comment, in this case I will add 1 more option if users like my fanpage, they will have 4 hours highspeed (long enough for study right?)
WiFi showcasing has demonstrated amazingly practical and productive. Navigate Rates (CTR) for GoZone WiFi customers are coming to an astonishing 4 to 11 percent, surpassing by a wide margin computerized showcasing models.
Most US schools offer free WIFI, I've used university wifi for 5 years and it was fast or fast enough to loud or stream content. I don't see a demand in it. However, I know other places where they have a demand for it, but new start ups with large capital are already taking over that part of the sector. Good luck.
