Is web directories dependent on google or google dependent on web directories?

Its a 2 part question remember...

1. Is web directories dependent on google ... NO proof has been shown

2. Google dependent on web directories?
Probably not but... theirs other forms off "seo" and backlink building

 

There is another old directory searchengine.com, how much traffic does it get without google?

Ok, tell me, do people come from google search and give paid submissions to directories! NO! but yes google sends a lot of free submitters! but then google's PR matters a lot when it comes to submissions!

Yes google serps sends traffic, the traffic helps to give link Juice to the listings of directories! but that traffic usually don't convert in submission, rather buying some links in forum signatures in some good webmaster forums will give a lot more submission!

Msn, yahoo etc are there, but then they usually send less then 20% of the traffic from all search combined!

 

I wont say much about the first question. I was just emphasizing on the second part only that nothing will happen to the 150b$ behemoth of the web directories are removed from the internet.

You didnt get my point. I am not talking about traffic. Be realistic, if your directory is deindexed from google, you will struggle to get submissions probably

 

You think Web directories are everything on the internet and SEO. They dont constitute even 0.01%. I have much more and better online business turning over thousands every month.

But im very glad that you have other interests other then Directories as i have mine also when biz-giant is finally completed
as it will offer more then just "directory submissions" and will be orientated towards all forms of SEO.

Also dont forget that i will as well offer much more as i have intentions off building my own search capabilities soon enough..

I think you are no way behind. last year in winters i remember chatting with you whole nights and i remember explaining you how to use a FTP software . You were working on sleek and adult directory and we were editing templates for them together.

What if google Bans you, you lose your ranking and PR, will you still be able to sell links in your directory ?

So you are very well dependent on google, if not traffic but you surely depend on them for sales.

 

I think G doesn't need anyone now. They used Dmoz links, but I don't think they actually count them now. They developed their own algo. for a better search result.

Every site is now pretty much dependent on G, including directories. But I am sure certain directories are more useful for the visitors to check links. I think nice directories could be stronger than G, if its built right.

Your posts make me laugh out loud every time. You badly need to increase your knowledge levels. Making posts on DP , making directories and selling links is not everything in the SEO/SEM Industry. Its next to nothing. Perhaps doesn't constitute 0.01% of the SEO/SEM/Internet Marketing Industry. Go and see the internet outside DP. Just Imagine your sites take few seconds to search a database of 1000 records and they search a database of over 10 billion records in 1 second.

 

Yeah Aditya is right... google can remove all the directories yes ALL in just one click.... they have clean database management system & well organised...
