I found a article at http://www.doodedesign.com/2007/03/16/what_you_want_from_web_30/ about web 3.0 So, Web 2.0 over? Time for Web 3.0! What u say?
lol what's the differense anyway? I don't like people saying web 2.0 all the time bacause of some few gradients and shit.. it sounds wierd anyway
for some reason, ppl think web2.0 is about the graphics.. this is further from the truth.. it's the usability that makes the term "web 2.0" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6gmP4nk0EOE check this out, even the newest user can understand
There is a lot of similarity between that article's musings about Web 3.0 and the intial musings about Web 2.0 and the initial promise of Web 1.0. In fact, other than wrapping things in a new blanket, I do not see the difference between any of these. All the most interesting Web 1.0 concepts are still being dressed up and resold as new. In fact, the only thing that I see that marks the change between "versions" of the internet are stock market collapses. After the first collapse market savvy promoters said their businesses were not the old web. . . they were part of the new web . . . web 2.0 Until there is another tech stock collapse, Web 2.0 will be alive and well.
I don't see a huge trend change in the internet.. it's still web 2.0... in a design aspect, I haven't seen a different design trend yet either. Just my observations though
Until the majority of websites are web 2.0, web 3.0 is still a long ways off. A lot of websites haven't even gotten to web 1.0 yet
ok so web 2.0 is still in full swing with some but not all sites upgrading yet, and others pretending they have just found out and are upgrading now. However, web 3.0 will hit use soon and it will be hard and fast. It could even arrive in the middle of web 2.0 life which imo in the product life cycle is still in growth period. But whatever happens when it hits us, you've got to be prepared to get your site into web 3.0 otherwise you will not have a business worth anything due to the fact users will be looking for the web 3.0 stuff
web 3.0 already eh? lol I still reckon it'll be some time before web 2.0 kicks in, maybe web 2.1 will be the next big thing. Some sites take this whole web 2.0 thing too far, others really need to get in the rhythms of today's trends and start getting jiggy with web 2.0
I always have to laugh when people refer to web 2.0 as though it is a "product" or an actual physical upgrade. Web 2.0 is a buzzword, a mindset, a design approach, an angle, an attitude - however some people talk about it as though you can drop by PC World and pick up the Web 2.0 package. Whether this is either misunderstanding exactly what it is, buying into it a little too much, or simply trying to follow the crowd and be all hip and trendy like; god only knows.
People, Web 2.0 does not exist - it's a word used by designers and others to make money out of less wise ones.
It worked, didn't it I personally don't care what they want to call it, as long as its nice and simple to navigate and to the point
I think usability isn't really apart of Web 2.0 as it is apart of GOOD design & programming practise. Web 2.0 is about the technologies, and the shift from websites that gave you content to websites where you produced the content. The content you create on the websites can be centralized through RSS / XML allowing people to be connected to many websites, thus changing the way we use the web. This is only true for those who actually use these "web 2.0" websites like youtube.com but the average internet users doesn't even know of any "web 2.0" In my town if you say web 2.0 people will think your talking about a new internet. Which is not true. Web Googolplex - Internet of Infinity!
That is fantastic... I wish I could send this to every clown who talks about pastel colors and gradients
