There is no mention, that I saw, of any affiliation, though one might make the false connection since there is no statement to the contrary. W3Schools is describing W3C and its functions, not claiming kinship.

Yes, Dave instructs in the building of tables, an important element. He is not instructing in the use of tables for layout, which W3Schools does.

And yet, you chose to repeat false information.

    I stand corrected.

I had to do a lot of research to find out for myself.

It's not easy to publicly acknowledge an error. You've shown class.

If only more would do the same. :(

    cheers,

W3schools ive used, its an obvious and basic place to start, you do need to look beyond there though.

    Beyond there i would suggest:

Blogs on what it is you need to learn

The professionally written ebooks, i mean the proper ebooks, not a free giveaway with "secrets" from a site, lol

Any official site and documentation of a language, whether php, jquery etc.

W3Schools helped me over countless hurdles with a site I just built. I practically kept it open in a separate browser as I worked.

    Fantastic resource.

I'm another huge fan of w3schools. Clear and simple with useful examples. A great place to start and and useful reference point

I too learned lot of things from w3schools. HTML, CSS, Javascript and lot of things, explained in simple and to the point style. It is awesome. But if you wish to go to the details, then it is a bit superficial. You have to dig more somewhere.
