So guys, almost every article on marketing I have been seeing on the net for a while now is stating video is the future and is or will be responsible for 80% of marketing. I have also been getting a lot of emails for all types of video creation softwares. So what's the deal with all of this, to reach your target customers is there any real value to promote videos for products and services? Or is this all hype?
Video is under utilized at the moment, which is why it works so well. It's not over saturated yet. Voice and AI is the future though.
Google owns YouTube so it makes sense for them to heavily promote their video platform in the SERPs. Video content can also be really engaging so it can work really well.
There's a world of difference between SEO and Marketing. Are you wanting to know about video as a marketing tool or an SEO tool?
Videos are part of general marketing not SEO. Sometimes, videos even rank better but there is a lot of difference between them 'Sarahk' suggested.
Video Marketing is good way to promote your business or products. Specially if you use voice over your video. Because as you probably already know but google can read the whole (Script /voice over) to help you get ranked. I will suggest to not focus only on Video marketing but it's part of SEO strategy.
Hi, Video Marketing is still the best choice in SEO. Today Youtube is the best platform for video marketing; According to Alexa's global traffic rankings, YouTube is the second most visited website in the world. you can check statics here: https://www.alexa.com/topsites
Hi Sarah, Youtube is just an example of video marketing; you can also create attractive videos of your product/services and promote it on various video sharing platforms for effective video marketing. Thanks @Manish.ebiztrait - you’re still splitting out the video from the SEO - essentially video marketing is awesome but it isn’t the “future of SEO”
