    Yahoo Answers site has high reputation by Google, so every link mentioned there will give you a large boost in SERP. There are two things that you have to be careful about: first, not to start spamming your site's link like mad, and second, answers still have to be useful and relevant.

    You won't get lots of traffic, but you will get highly targeted traffic from your link in Yahoo Answers. I try to respond to 3-4 questions per day with legitimate, well constructed answers.

    As for the OP, Yahoo Answers used to be good a couple of years ago.. now it's filled with spammers... no point in wasting your time.

    YES its a great traffic source.never had a problem ,i use yahoo answers a lot for gain traffic to my websites .I think only one time they took a survey report form me .
