Is using Yahoo Answers any good for gaining traffic?

yahoo answer will definately helps u in gaining traffic if u r ranked at a good position at their site

 

Yahoo answers bring in the traffic as long as it is done in your site related subject

Right. Yahoo Answers is strict with link dropping. They will delete your post and you have to appeal for inclusion of your post. Make sure that when you post a link, it is relevant to the subject.

 

Largely depends on your niche. If your niche is something people wanted for free then you won't get much results.

 

From my experience with yahoo answers, it is not for direct building of traffic to your website. Yes, it is good and I would recommend that you use it. But do not waste much time answering too many questions. Answer a few and that's it. It will help in search engine ranking as your site will be linking from a trusted and reputable source but will not help in generating direct traffic. concentrate on building good quality content and other links to your site. Keep on building quality content.

 

"Yahoo Answers" is a valid site that could surely increase traffic to your website with the millions of members as your targeted traffic.

 

I got niches where people expect to get free and they come and pay. It is about volume of traffic it gets.

If its targeted, I think it can be helpful in driving traffic.

 

It is just one of the way to gain traffic but i don't think its best way..

 

I would agree, it is not in my top 5 (Affiliates, SEO, Niche Sites, Video Marketing etc...). What do you think is the best way?

Yahoo! Answers can not only help bring a flood of traffic to your site from an answer of yours that becomes a best answer, your answer can even get highly ranked in the search engines for a specific keyword (doesn't usually last too long, maybe a month or less). It's important not to spam, however. I got my start in IM by using Yahoo! Answers and it used to be very easy to just put your link in relevant questions. I got a minimal return but it was a start, and it still brings me results from Answers I did maybe 2 years ago. However, I my answers account got banned because I gave one too many answers with my link, and the answer that got me banned really was lazy on my part, I did not answer the question, just put a link to my site. I learned my lesson. Be helpful to people, put in a link only when it's relevant to the question and you should be ok. Also use your account to answer unrelated questions to be more natural. Use it as its intended. If your site will actually help the asker than I see no problem with it.

 

SEO is the best for sure, being top ranked in google is the best source of traffic.

 

Since Yahoo Answers is a high authority site, that can not give u SEO result but the search effect of having those high traffic discussions and links plays an important role for traffic but it works if ur answers are best answers.

forum posting ( have link in ur sig )
blog commenting
blog posting
bookmarking
facebook and twitter marketing are growing.

 

there's so much site that gain traffic form yahoo answers. Just answer someone question and direct questioner to your site

 

If you can put link to your site then absolutely yes

 

Yes. You are only allowed to make i think two posts using the same account. If your posts exceed, it will be deleted and you will be banned from the site. You need to create another account if you want to post again. This is very time consuming.

 

of course it could take you traffics,try to help them resolve their question,not just for leave a link
