Is using Yahoo Answers any good for gaining traffic?

I have a level 2 account with 50% best answers and I am classed as a "top contributor" on the site.

From people's past experience is yahoo answers a good way to gain traffic?

Also what is the best way to use it to gain traffic?

post your website link to your answers. that sure will get traffic.

 

Yeah I do but I want to know is there any way of maximizing traffic or should I just carry on answering questions as normal?

 

People go to Yahoo Answers to Find an Answer and that is all they are interested in So if for Example someone asks Where Can I watch Free Movies online and you Have a Free Streaming Movies Site then it will get you Traffic. otherwise it is way too time Consuming what kind of Site do you wish to Promote in Yahoo Answers?

 

I might give up on trying to promote my site then.

Yes Yahoo Answers is very powerful.

The simple method is directly answer a question. Like mentioned YA is used for people who have questions, answer to all where your product/service is the solution.

I did a recent post on my blog about how I get 50,000 visitors plus a month and Yahoo Answers was one of the 5 ways I discussed.

Yes... provided your responses on Yahoo or activity on Yahoo Q&A is related to your site then you could use your site url in your signature so as to link to your site that way. Interested readers of your comments would surely click on the link when they realise how knowledgeable you are on the subject if it is related to your site!

Last time i throw link on yahoo answers they deleted my post,

I dont think they allow link dropping, unless its appropriate

 

This happens many people say put you link as source never do this put your link at the Bottom of the Answer as Text not as Source

 

yeah put it a text link not source. and make your post like its really related.

 

You may post your site link but make sure they are related to the topic else they will treat it as spam.

 

If the answers are relevant I say go for it. If not I don't think it will help. Relevancy matters with Yahoo! Answers in my opinion.

 

The Yahoo answers admin is strick now. So do not add the link of your website in every post. If possible add the ezine article or the social media page where your link has been added sometimes and sometimes add the direct link of your website.

 

yes it is good way to get traffic,but you can get banned from yahoo from doing this.i tried this method year back,i got banned.
so if you do it safely it can be a very nice method for generating traffic

 

I noticed that yahoo answers come on top of the search, especially if you mention you site (you don't need to make it a link just "yoursite.com" or any name you consider relevant)

 

You shouldn't look at it as 'just' a traffic source. Look at this as an opportunity to become an authority figure in the industry;thereby getting more traffic to your site by providing information and content the users want.

 

Make sure that you answer only questions that are relevant to your site topic then yes it can generate traffic.

Yes yahoo answer is very good but only answer questin related to your given resourse link. Yes it increase traffic al are interested traffic
