    EDIT TO TITLE:
Is using multiple google adsense sites to generate a large (combined) income of about $1000/week a viable method.

Hi, I am new here. I hope this is in the correct section and adheres to the rules.

I have been researching this for a couple of weeks and it seems good on paper.

Generate 1 website that makes $2/day.
    Create 5 websites, that's $10/day.
    20 websites, $40/day.
    100 Websites, $200/day. ($1,400/week).

Looks good in theory. But I was wondering how realistic is it?
Once you have a decent site with steady page views and good keyword oriented content thats making $2 per day. How hard could it be to repeat the process over... and over and over. It could take 2-3 years or maybe more but it looks like it has potential. I know there are people out there doing this and becoming very successful.

Then there's the question of maintenance, Would each site effectively run itself and require little change once established with good content or do your sites have to have fresh new content at all times to generate good revenue with adsense?

The math makes it look like a venture worth pursuing.

Any thoughts, comments, suggestions much appreciated.

It is possible but you need a lot of time to make it manageable onsite and offsite. You also need to understand how to build such websites and that comes mostly with experience.

Your time would be much better served if you researched and created 5-10 medium sized sites that earn $40-$60/a day each once you get traffic to them. Even that can be a big task to maintain though. Keeping fresh content up, creating quality links, etc. takes time and money. It's easy to get overwhelmed and then most of the sites will suffer. Since you're new to the game, just find a niche that you are either already knowledgeable in/a hobby or sport you like and create a site around that. It will help keep you interested and once you learn how to get traffic and see some earnings from Adsense, you'll be able to dive into other niches and create sites that are focused on better paying keywords. If you try to jump into "insurance", "payday loans" and "medial" niches, you will probably fail and with good reason. You gotta crawl before you walk.

If it were that simple, everyone would be doing it. But anything is possible with hard work and effort. Your best bet would be to get your first site up and running and start making your $2/day. You'll learn from experience as you expand. Keep in mind that these would have to be quality websites. One bad site can get your account banned; therefore, I agree with the previous comment that you should focus on having less sites that earn more, which will also be easier to maintain and track.

    Hi Mark,
Yes, your idea and maths are good in theory, but both building and maintaining so many sites is easier said than done (I know from experience!). It can be tough to optimize every site to your keywords, plus keep them 'alive' with content. As Google has already hit the autocontent blogs hard, it is now more difficult than ever to run lots of site. As said by Christian123, perhaps a focus on a handful of 'good' sites may be the way to go.

Why do as little as you can? Focus your ideas into one big site. Go all out. Stop wasting your time making crap, and instead, spend your time making something epic.
