Is using multiple domains bad?

    Hello
I am fairly new to all this but would like some basic advice. I plan to set up a string of websites that use similar formats but which concentrate on different markets. I was hoping to have one main website linking to all the others and back but by using separate domain names. Is this a bad idea? I understand the IP address of each website would be the same but this wouldn't effect search engines if websites have different content, but what if they link to each other?
If I just create a multiple from one domain name my worry is that the niche page would then be more difficult to generate traffic if it's domain name is not specific to what it is doing.

If u have using separate domain name then domain acts like separate individual websites. So search engine understand the duplicate content of ur websites. so u will update different quality content of all websites/

If you are targeting audience of different language then it is a good idea to have different websites for all languages, otherwise make a website and target it globally. One more thing I want to add that you don't need to register different domain for different languages, simply make subdomains on main website.

    Hi Dude~!!
Google Panda refers to the changes introduced in 2011 to the search algorithm used by Google to improve Internet search results. The change aims to lower the rank of "low-quality sites" in search results and return high-quality sites to Google's users. That's why u should regularly update content...

You can create how many duplicate sites you wanted (we all know that) but of course, this will go back to your rankings. If you wanted multiple sites, then you must put unique content on each one of them.

Um...I don't think he is asking about duplicate content here

The question seems to be if he should use one domain for multiple topics. And, if that is in fact the question, then yes that is a good idea. You don't want to have 5 of the exact same site on different domains, however if they are all on different topics with different content then that is a perfectly acceptable thing to do.

DUPLICATE content is very, very bad for your site. the more unique your content is (not on multiple sites), the better off your main site will remain.
