Is uploading torrents punishable?

    Yes it is punishable as long as it is a work that has a copyright attached to it.

    Yes you can end up in jail for doing that. Warez and Piracy is an illegal activity.

    Depends on the file. If the file is not copyrighted to you, it's against the law and illegal. You can end up in jail and fined if the authority finds out. If you're the copyright holder, there's no problem.

    there are millions of torrents uploaded each and every day
    better upload stuff in file host company and earn money haha

    LOL. That's what I'm doing uploading files on Sharecash. I wanted to try to upload a passworded rar file on torrent and put the password on my sharecash account and make people download that.

    no you not end in jail until you get caught. usually not.
    but actually it hard to say if they say you guilty for uploading the "files" the other people that upload the "files" to are guilty. well if there is thousand of them?.
    that is hard task.
    that's why they just let go.
