Well said. If you concentrate on one method then you are missing the boat. To be succesful you need an arsenal of teqniques. Look at all the people that are so worried about PR. Google has told everyone that they look at over 200 equations when ranking a site. With that in mind the question is about Twitter. I believe Twitter is more importnat now then it was even 2 weeks ago. When twitter feeds show up in live serps soon you will obviously want to be part of that, However it is not the most importtant method.

However other businesses get nothing out of it. With social networking sites the best way to promote is to come up with a defined marketing plan and utalise each site based on their strengths.
