Is Twitter Provides Bakclinks of a Website?

I have seen Google shows twitter's links on backlinks.

Search on Google - link:makemytrip.com

What is yours opinion it's quality backlinks?

 

Yes twitter links do count as backlinks and twitter is a well established domain. The problem is that twitter is packed full of external links and few external links pointing to individual posts or even twitter profiles. So while they are probably good for your domain's trust ranking, it probably won't have much direct benefit to a page's search engine rankings. Having lots of twitter links might help rankings though.

It is not exactly the backlinks that is counted. Actually Google think differently with social network. It talks in term of social popularity. More your links will appear on twitter, FB and G+, and more Google will like your website.

 

I am little bit confused about this but overall twitter helps to improve website's alexa rank.

Twitter and Facebook link back should not be count as backlink, but those still help in SEO .
Google do not count the backlink to Google identify the interaction between readers,visitors with your site to prove how quality is your site and how you able to grab quality traffic with the linkback you build from social media.
All depend on the quality of your visitors that visit your site from social media. How many like , share , tweets about your website from others.

If you use backlink tracking , you can't get any result from social media but it still work for SEO while Google will crawl it .

social media is used to gain social familarity and not to set backlinks. Google set preferences and increase PR based on like or tweets you have on it. your website will get traffic from social media rather than PR.

 

My opinion that any backlinking done by a person is better than automated software.

 

Twitter provides backlinks but only one link would be counted so you have to think of this.

 

Twitter is a good social networking sites, According to me twitter provides backlinks.

 

Twitter links are counted right, but Twitter's main use is in gaining hits for the website and thus improving Alexa rank.
