i have follow twitter.
Twitter can give a voice to even the weakeast signals because of its simplicity.

 

Actually twitter is great tool for instant information and e-marketing media .
with twitter you can know the latest news about every thing , promote a custom products/posts.......etc
you can make more friends via twitter and make a good relations with professionals in your niche
and a lot of thing ..

 

Twitter can help you to have more traffic. Of course its effective. Start using of it and see the results.

 

Twitter is great. But, you have to know how to use it the right way. You can have hundreds or even a few thousand followers. But, are you using this to your advantage? Knowing how Twitter works will improve its effectiveness. This is how the whole Internet thing works. You can gain page rank and move up in the SERPS just by knowing how to play the game.

Twitter isn't good for me till now, cost me more time then i am getting out of it. Depents on the amount of followers ofcourse.

 

Twitter has to much spam anymore. I only use twitter for twitter feed type accounts to get a bunch of retweets, and a little traffic

I really don't see any benefits from it though. Never got any traffic, somehow it seems to me time consuming and time wasting. I would love rather spend on forums.

 

Not really that good. People come to your site for few seconds and they left.

 

Twitter can become an amazing tool, if you can get a lot of specified followers and choose who you follow carefully you can create a very good following for a niche, with this you can then treat twitter very like a list.

 

Twitter can be a great tool in your arsenal. But it's only one tool. Use it with your other marketing options to gain traffic.

 

I support your opinion. Twitter appears more to be a time waster as of now and I enjoy spending more time on a good forum instead!

Twitter has its advantages and disadvantages. The biggest disadvantage is the spam. But, those people that are trying to sell you something are not your audience. You really do not want these people in your network. Maybe a few big players in your niche. But, for the most part you want people that have the problem that you can solve.

If you are selling "dog training tips" then look for people who are trying to train their dog. Not other people who are also selling the same thing.
