Is Twitter a way to get backlinks?

As more and more twitter users keeps re-tweeting the story, it gets popular. I think best advantage of having a backlink from Twitter is that Google will crawl your pages quickly. Google crawls twitter in every 15 minutes and If you have a blog this is the best way to let google know about your latest posts.

 

NO, you do not get backlink. However, if you have a Twitter account with the same name of your website, when somebody types the name of your company on Google, your Twitter account will show up and you have a high probability to have your website appearing too.

All Twitter links have nofollow tag's assigned to them. The best thing you can hope for, is a blog owner or journalist picks up on your Tweet, and re-posts or writes about it on their blog, they may link to your site then.

Its more for brand awareness, and dripping in small amounts of traffic - I have seen no real point in using it for my SEO company as of yet, of course we offer it as a service to encourage the mentioning of a brand though as this does have an effect on SERP's

 

In my experience twitter is great for traffic, not so much for backlinks.

 

Twitter is not a tool to getting backlink..but it can be used for generating traffic and you can also use Twitter for better visibility in real time search results.
But for getting backlinks, you need to try some other sites..

 

but i have one question! is twitter traffic a high quality traffic (targeted traffic)?
in other word, we can make any sales using twitter and clickbank?
