No doubt Twitter is a great web utility, and I do get traffic from it but not as much as from Facebook. Thing with Twitter is, if you want to promote your product/services on it then you need a long list, I mean a really long list of loyal fan-following, unless and until if you don't have such following you will be overheard every time you tweet. And to gain such following one need to put some really efforts. I personally prefer, Facebook rather than Twitter, since Facebook have more feature than any sites, such as fan-page and groups, other than this two you can find many other applications which will help you to promote your website, thou here on Facebook as well you need to put efforts but hard work done on Facebook is worth-while.....
I think it can be, but you really have to user Twitter the right way. Too many people spam affiliate links and make Twitter an unfortunate place to be.
Yes twitter is the best place for marketing. You can find relevant followers on twitter and then you share your relevant news on twitter.
Twitter can be a great place to promote if it is handled the right way! There is some great responses that have demonstrated this. Posting for people and providing them with quality information is a great bit of advice I got.
Would you please elaborate if you don't mind on how you convert traffic into cash. Need not be specific but general direction. I recently opened twitter account. Have 100+ followers. Increasing every day. Thanks in advance.
If your an active twitter user then it can be good marketing tool for you. Since you would definitely gain visitors from twitter. Twitter is also base on interaction and relevance on the info you share.
Twitter is an awesome network for driving traffic, but if you drive traffic directly to an offer you won't convert many visitors to customers. It's hard to pre-sell in 140 or less. Send traffic to an squeeze page instead with a free offer and you'll be able to get many people to join you list, and then an effective email funnel can turn these leads into customers. I created a free 7 day twitter eCourse with tools, tips, and tricks that I highly recommend: http://twittertoolsbook.com/twitter-ecourse Cheers, Garin @GarinKilpatrick on twitter
I would say twitter is a waste of time for a single unbranded person to invest in, there are exceptions, such as a celeb, author, someone who has interest.. Only other people would be spammers... As for a corp, its a good way to stay in contact with and grow a channel of advertising.. but if you are just intersted in posting urls.. not going to help you.... watch how the pro's do it.. they eat chocolate at so in so and give a plug.. then they have 5 friends who plug them back, and so on.. but never direct sales
On twitter you can do well marketing but you will fail if you don't interact. Make sure you tweet back to everyone who tweets you as well. If you only spam , your account will most likely get flagged as spam. I flag EVERYONE who spams me! There's a difference between sending out sponsored tweets and and a few self promotion links and blatantly spamming people tweet after tweet.
It's harder to make money on twitter.. however it's a good place to get followers and people update on the news of what your doing and selling. Good luck!
For me twitter is one of the best social media marketing you can get suggestions and other will like your tweets and some give you advise.
