Hi, I have a arcade and funny videos site that also includes funny pictures. I have now just gone and optimized the pictures for google images search. Now I have a feeling that they should do alright in google images as they are based on funny pictures theirselves. Well, I also have a funny vidoes and online games section that includes images to each of the videos and games. I was wondering, should I also optimize the images for Google Images search and benefit from the traffic or would the traffic be very untargeted and not results in many pageviews per unique. It it would result in a few pages views on average per unique that would be my target, but then I would also want a few clicks aswell. What's your thoughts and has anyone experience google image traffic to a arcade / video site.
Having traffic to your site is good, it doen't matter whether it is from Google / Google Images / Yahoo. What matters is that you do get visitors. People searching for funny pictures are those who are looking for entertainment. So there is a very good chance that they may find your site entertaining.
That's what I thought. I will start optimizing the images tomorrow for the games and videos section. Although I must say these will not be funny pictures, they will be pictures of the games and videos theirselves, but it is still better than nothing I guess.
