    I could make an image, stick it in my signature, and get your IP. Isn't that a little unsafe? Anyone can get your IP very easily. It is not rocket science.

    Only if I want you to get my IP address of course. Takes two seconds to run through a proxy or even a set of proxies. In the case of torrents, there's always seedboxes.

    Most virus scanners will scan a file as it's loaded onto your computer. You can also setup most torrent clients to run a scan after the file is complete.

    I don;t download anything new and as noted previously, reviewing the comments of a specific torrent is always a plus. If there's a virus on a file, folks will complain and report it.

    We may all be thieves but we're also geeks as well. We know what we're doing. It's those who don't that you have to watch out for.

    well i never faced any virus while I'm downloading things through torrent yet, feels like i'm lucky, but i heard many times, do everything, but be safe.

    may be but i use torrent regularly for movies download because its dam easy to use...
    and i thing movies and songs on torrent are usually virus free only games and softwares contains viruses...
    but still i will preffer torrent download...

    I have not yet seen a virus in a movie, but have seen them often in programs. You need to backup your system drive and run a good virus protection.

    Not everyone allows outside images to be added into signature and or descriptions.. I never allowed that on the trackers i recoded for my friends

    It's totally safe believe me. I have downloaded like tons of movie. But the thing is you should go with the popular torrents. Try torrentz.com

    The site is a search engine of torrents. You will find almost everything there.
