Provide content that your audience wants and update it on a regular basis, but manage it wisely. Too many updates and posts can easily create clutter and be overwhelming for readers, so put limits around how frequently you post.

No it's not. Google needs to know whether your blog or website is fresh or not. If you leave your blog without any content for 3-4 months after posting a lot of content regularly, then you might see a dip in your rankings. This happened to a friend of mine.

Be patient. Schedule your posts evenly across a long time. Don't take up any schedule you can't maintain. For example, if you start with 2 posts per day, and at a point you can't maintain that, it would cause problems. So, it's better to post 2 posts a week in that situation. Everything depends on your capacity.

Ranking is not the only problem of irregularly updating your site or blog. If you had built up a reader base with your content, then they'd be very disappointed if you didn't post for a few months. You could lose your readers, and hence, money, because of that.

So, you saw you have a lot of content right now right? Set up a proper schedule for them so the articles get posted in regular intervals.

Hope that helped. :) Good luck.

aarthielumalai has a great answer. Instead of posting a lot of content at once schedule it out so it will be posted on a regular basis. If you have slower weeks where you can write a lot of content, then save some of it so you can use it when you have a busy week when there isn't time to write.

i would suggest to post 2 max 3 posts a week at the beginning (important: focus on the same niche only, don' write 10 posts in 10 different categories, if your niche is social media, write only social stuff etc...) and wait for the dancing. The first posts/days will be important on how your blog will be categorized and can make the difference in your future rankings. you can always increase the post rate later.

Actually it depends on which type of a website you have. If your website is informative then you can add more content but it should be informative not only increase the words, because no one wants to spent more time on a single topic so it should be strict concept that make clear to users about that topic.

You also have to maintain flow of posting content, it should look like regular work.... so you should do it on continuous basis to get more benefit from this.
