Is too Many Back Links Bad for SEO ?

it is a strange question i know, will too many backlinks affect seo ? it is only one way linking .. will it affect SEO ? if i do lots of blog commenting , how will it affect SEO badly ?

 

Backlinks from your content related websites won't hurt your seo strategy they are always beneficial.

 

you can never have to many backlinks.. do you think google would punish people like amazon.com for having to many backlinks... the biggest thing is to keep it looking natural... things such as..

backlink source variation
percentage of anchor text
consitancy over time..

the worst thing you could do is to blast with thousands of links then stop

Backlinks are good for SEO but it should be looks natural to google. like you are doing blog commenting only on do follow blogs then its not looks natural to google and google can punish your site.

if your website is 30 days old or less then you want to go with 50 backlinks per month
6 months or less - 100 or less per month
1 year or older - should start getting backlinked by others just because of age and should be generating between 200-500 backlinks per month.

too many back links in very less is the problem.. but if you get all those back links from authoritative site then it wont be a problem...

if you get 10000 links over night then obviously it will affect your site and definitely your site will be de-ranked.

 

Don't spam give as much as possible links daily atleast 40 to 50 links without repetations with quality Content,it should be a continues process.

 

Quality and natural backlinks are not harmful. If any body wants quick result and get more backlink in a min time then it will be penalized by search engines.

 

Depends upon the quality of the backlink which u have.

 

As long as you are

- getting links relevant to your niche/topic
- submitting to authority websites
- avoiding link farms

There's nothing to worry about.
