    hello there,

i used to subscribe on a few thousands of backlinks from a few sites.
it used to provide me the ranking for a few months
is thousands of backlinks from a few sites still work?

a few months ago, i found my site dropped out from yahoo completely and so far so bad.

    does these scheme still work?

for big companies like yahoo, google, msn , they can easily spotted this kind of method and devalue it easily.

    making sense?

can i conclude that buy these kind of link subscriptin services are dead?

any inputs are highly appreciated..since i'm plan to kill these subscriptions and go for paypayclick in stead

The thousands of backlinks will have *some* value, but nowhere near as much as if it was thousands of different sites. It may have worked to originally get rankings but its a risky method to rely on these to maintain rankings. I personally would use the money to get backlinks from more sites rather than lots of backlinks from few sites.

You never know though, the algo's may change overnight in your favour and then you would be laughing!

I think you may be forgetting that too many links too quickly often result in sites being penalised.

That really seems like a bad rule for search engines to use. It would hurt sites that naturally gain large amounts of backlinks from its visitors.

Yeah except how often does that actually happen? And if it did happen, who would care because you would still be getting a huge amount of traffic naturally.

Some might disagree with me but I'm going to say it anyway because it really isn't true... well, most of the time. You can get as many backlinks pointing to your site as you want to as quickly as you want to. You will not get sandboxed or whatever for doing just this alone. However, If you work on backlinking using a method that will dump a whole bunch of links to your site for a short period of time then all of a sudden just STOP! This will mess your site's ranking up big time. Ever hear of the "google dance" basically, sites are being updated and during this time if you are dumping a bunch of links to your site all at once you will see your site bounce up and down the serps until it finally finds it's place to rest in the listings. If you are going to get a lot of links to your site all at once it's going to kill your ranking in a lot of cases... you will have to continually keep feeding it lots and lots of links for a while then taper off bit by bit if you don't want this to happen. It's advised instead that you just find the highest PR-links you can and just start collecting those in the amount of a few per day, every day until you see your page ranking go up.

I dont think it will be much useful. You should concentrate on quality of backlinks instead of quantity of backlink.
