I am thinking about buying a domain name related to my niche. The domain is 4 years old, it was parked all the time and contains 3 words in the domain name. But this keyword (the 3 words together) is driving the most traffic to my other website. This keyword also describes the niche I am in. I used some online appraisal tool and it said the domain name was worth $1900-$2500. Unfortunately the domain is a .net domain. Is it worth investing $300 in it?
At this point, I think it is not how much the domain worth, but how much it worth to you... Answer these questions to yourself and you have your solution: How long it would take you to recover the investment? How much you can lose if someone else take it and work it? S.
Without knowing the actual name, nobody will be able to let you know the value of the name. Of course, in the end of the day, do you feel that the name is worth $300 to you? For others it might be worth $0 but if it suits what you are looking for then $300 might be worth investing in that name.
well a .net domain, not generic, 14 char long, consists of 3 keywords? I have no idea about the keywords and it's impossible to appraise by the given data, but I'd just pay reg fee!
If you think owning this domain is going to help you conquer a bigger part of the market then pay for it. But I would also try to get the price down a bit.
To be honest mate, it probably isn't worth it. An 11 digit .net domain for $300? I would not go for that
if it suits me that much....then i would buy this particular one for a 100-150, keeping in mind that i have to recover my investment. do invest 250 if u feel it will help ur site and u will make it back in no time.
