    vansales.com is a premium domain.

For end user 10k is a bargain

Since all top level extensions are taken and the domain name
is highly brandable and easy to remember.

no not worth $10k, the max i would give for this name is $4k - $5k, it has very low overture and wordtracker.

Definately not worth $10k. Limited market IMO. I'd say max $500

I think the way everyone values domain names on DP is outdated.
A domain name presents a source of cheap enqiries. The name is memorable, it is a .com. $7000 dollars gets me a single page in a newspaper for the day...... or a domain name i can use for life.
DP tends to value domain names solely on what colateral adwords affilate can be scraped. Thus you are missing out on a major earn.
If I was a domain name seller, I would make it similar to a property business.

    1. Buy in the right location i.e. a base name that is good, old, and a .com
Also a niche that makes money. Ecommerce for e.g, choice vast
    2. I would build my house... or website, and if it is old enough it should serp pretty quickly
    3. Have the site for sale on every page. That way if the site is ranking, the domain you have just bought for $1000 dollars would sell for $40 K in the right niche, and if you started ringing people and selling.
    4. If I was realy switched on I would rent it out rather than sell it!
Imagine 20 sites each rented out for $400 dollars a month and somone else paying for the SEO!

Don't be afraid to spend too much on a domain name if you have a plan.
It is better to pay too much, and see something through to the end than sit there afraid to do it.

Don't wait for a buyer to come to you. The prospects are the adwords customers.
You are offering them a turnkey business in the best location in town!
Don;t sell it for $2000 dollars!
    Just my humble opinion
