Take a look around those forums before deciding to post. Do you see many signature links? Do you see ANY sig links? Many admins encourage people to use them, as it works favorably for both. You post often, with your link, and the admin gets content and a busy forum.
What would you consider socialbot? Just curious if submitting the same page to tons of social bookmarking sites is black hat and bad to do?
most forums actually have a majority of 'non-posters', so there's not really anything wrong with your strategy, although as the previous poster says, it probably won't help you much. If it was a useful strategy, there's be a tool to do it for you.
Ummm, not quite true. We did a test on this, and nofollow links supply absolutely NO juice. I don't care what anyone tells you. The search engines will ALWAYS respect the site-owner over the link-builder, and the end-user over the site owner. There would be no benefit for search engines to favor spammers over site owners or webmasters. Stop giving people bad advice.
I think you are both wrong and right... The OP should be creating a profile and placing anchor text based link in his signature or about me on that profile of a high pr website. To get it indexed he needs to make sure to ping the profile, socially bookmark it, and rss feed it...Well thats in simple terms ( there is a formula I created that works ). Those links get indexed quickly and they boost rankings... Having said that if you only use these sort of links as your backlinks then its not solid SEO. You need a variety of links built on a consitantly increasing rate. These links should be in the mix for sure though.
Dude you are wasting your time there. Do one thing if you want to gain something from forums. Make some 50 quality posts in the forums exchanging values/knowledge and then use the 'signature' to insert your anchor text and target URL. You can achieve certain traffic there if the forum is a bit popular and have a handful of members.
Neither. True. It's stupid if you put the link on your sig. But if you use your profile page to have your link, well congratulations! Profile Linking is one of Angela and Paul's technique as far as I know. It wouldn't be a spam since he isn't posting ANYTHING! No. I couldn't consider it a white hat. Maybe a grey hat if it is on your profile and not on the sig. Again, it wouldn't be consider as a spam when you're not posting anything. The thing about Forum Posting is to interact and make your sig links visible to everyone you interact with. How will you do it if you just basically don't do anything with it?
It's always white hat, coz placing URL in the good or ethical forum related to your theme is not considered as any white hat or black hat seo techniques by the Search Engines. It effects just only the rules of the Forum as Forum violation and not related to white hat or black hat. If you are putting your url in your Profile page, where it is asked by the Forum to put your Website URL. So it's good and you are following the Forum rules. But if you are including that by any way on the wrong places as strictly prohibited to put there then you are violating the rules of Forums. So skip this, it's white hat or black hat.
You'd be better off finding forums which are in your niche and making useful posts on them. This way, you get links in your signature and you show your potential customers that you know what you are talking about!
i think this white hat SEO. But in next time u shouls submit 10 to 20 directory. This is good for sites
Not black hat, but pretty useless stuff - write CONTENT for the forums you've posted on or even highly popular blogs. It's important to provide something unique to the online public instead of spamming in signatures. Try to achieve high quality links instead of settling for redundant postings.
You can't get banned in the search engines for your backlink strategy. Your links will just get filtered out. If you could get banned for link building, people would "black hat" all of their competitors and move to the #1 position by default. Passing juice is not the purpose of those links. That's not blackhat. That is SEO automation. Blackhat is an approach not a particular tool or set of tactics. *sigh*
Don't no whether is white or black hat, but doesn't sound like a great technique? So probably doesn't matter. I recommend focusing on something that adds both good links and traffic. Quick and easy links are generally low in value. Spend the extra time and it will be worth it.
Good calculation about link building. I agree with that its a white hat technique, if you are continue posting in those forum. Otherwise it simply useless stuff.
