Hi, is CP Hosts.com banned from Google Search Engine? We use a Flash Header and we have submitted our Sitemap to Google. Google is giving us a low page rank, instead of giving us "No PageRank Assigned"

Can anyone tell me what is going on?

From what it looks like you are not indexed in google at all. Being banned might be the case since I see more then enough links to atleast get indexed. However, again google could be slow and you should try a few strong links to your website as you have some garbage sites linking to you at the moment, and from the looks some look like automated link-exchange programs.

How old is the site? Often new sites are unable to attain page rank right away.

Buying links is frowned upon by google, if they found out then that may be why you are banned. Certainly if they read this thread they will find out about it

Also your flash header means that each page does not link to your homepage making the sites structure very poor for passing PR between the pages.

I'd ignore this comment about buying links getting you 'banned'. Buying links is buying advertising space, same as banners and if used properly wont cause even the least of problems.

I know that it doesn't matter to Google. What does matter is the Flash idea, I will change that in an hour or so

Any other suggestions? Is using linkmachine a bad thing?

Now that's a stupid thing to say one post after posting your URL:

    http://www.google.co.uk/search?num=20&hl=en&q=buy+links+site:mattcutts.com&btnG=Search&meta=

    Also:

If indeed you are banned you now just told Google enough evidence to not reinclude you.

Those PR4 Links are directory links being sold on DigitalPoint Forums, what is wrong with that?

I am not saying it did get him banned, all I am saying is that Matt Cutts said
Whether link buying is good or bad is a matter of opinion, however if googles opinion is that its bad then you are in trouble.

My point exactly. In principle it's fine to buy link/advertising/traffic but this evil-empire-to-be called Google doesn't like it. So you have a choice. Play their rules or not. Or don't play them but least don't admit in public in a forum they do read. Just don't cry if they ban you whilst you knowlingly violate half a dozen of their rules.

Being realistic however you would agree that this isn't the case here and thats not how things work. I am not sure about anyone else but personally in my book I am positive google's algo doesnt include hiring scouts to look at forums for possible link buyers to exclude from the index.

no those links cannot be the reason for why you are banned. google may only decrease the popularity if it finds out that you participate in link exchanges and purchases etc. otherwise google would ban all business sites listed in Yahoo directory ;)
