I started a new blog few days ago. To get more subscribers for my blog, I got a graphic prepared for RSS subscription. You may see it at www.techravings.info. It is in the right sidebar with graphics of a "beer mug". I paid $15 for that graphic and would like to know whether I should keep it or get refund for my payment. Please give your feedback.
Whether or not it's worth 15$ or not, the work you commisioned is done now - the artist must be paid. If you wanted a better graphic for that price, you should have chosen a better artist or paid a better price. I'm sorry, but once you sign off on a comissioned piece it's done - once you've deployed it if you're not satisfied that becomes your loss. Did the artist not deliver as promised? Now, if you had paid the artist and they never gave you a graphic, then you could have a refund no problem!
Personally I would be disappointed to have received that however as innovati has said you commissioned it and you are using it so you have to pay. A couple of things though:- 1) Was your spec to them good enough? Did you explain well enough what you were expecting? If not then your normally going to be disappointed with any result. 2) Have you asked the designer if they could improve it, if you have specific issues with it, you may be able to get a few tweaks, however $15 you pretty much get what your given. You cannot ask for a refund because I for example don't like it. You usually make the payment after you get the graphics and agree that you don't want any other changes done. If you did this, there is nothing else to be done here.
You could have learned a little photoshop to do your own graphic.If you need any graphics in the future,contact me.And yes,the graphic looks nice,but it doesn't fit your website.
i like you RSS design, me also a web designer so i've an special eye for designs, graphics so according to my knowledge this is perfect according to your design theme too.
