While checking for backlink of one of my client i found something odd is "Link:" and "link:" shows different results. Do any one here plz check and let me know your perceptions.. Thanks in advance.
"link:xyz.com" will give you all pages which are linked to xyz.com and "Link:xyz.com" will do normal search.
Actually the link command only shows a few of your backlinks. The better way is to sign up with Google for a webmaster account: http://www.mattcutts.com/blog/google-provides-backlink-tool-for-site-owners/ VSC
SEOmoz just released a tool that will let you compare sites' backlinks. It's called "Open Site Explorer." Check it out.
Yes you are right, Link command will give all the links and link command will only shows the backlinks
can the site: and link: be accessed using google custom search api? Probably it is right? "link:" is the backlink how about the outgoing links?
The Google link command just doesn't give any accurate results. I've stopped using it completely. http://searchengineland.com/worthy-...ess-seo-data-provided-by-search-engines-36424 Even Google admit that it's not accurate. VSC
