LOL. The only way I'd say there's "no need" for original content is if you have a domain with type-in.

Even so, I still suggest original content.

It is easy enough to find someone to pay to write the content for you. :)

If his grammar's any indication of how good an internet marketer he is, I wouldn't give his statement too much merit.

Try ranking with some low quality duplicate content and see how much traffic you will get.
No need to setup a domain and installing a CMS. I will tell you - 0 (zero).

Though it sucks, there is a way to use other people's content and get away with it

I think in his case, the only way he may get some traffic is if someone else write the content.

Well depending on the ebook, he could mean that you dont need to write your own content you can use other peoples and refer to them. his passage doesnt say anything about stealing or ripping content.

yeah it sounds like he's saying to submit content to directories giving them credit (links) as well as yourself...but??

Not sure how you'd get the Googler to relate the links to your site though?

obviously original content is the most important! but im justing wondering, if one copied all of ones content from another site, what would be the consequences, if any?

Not true, stealing others content will bring no good. You will see zero traffic from search engines.

Even if you get away with this it will only be a matter of time until you are spotted and penalized.

I disagree. Stealing content and making money with it, can't be that simple.

Actually, you can see some good results from it. Not saying I ever have done it, but I know people who have.
