It is true, but the money you make is very little when you take into account the amount of time it took to complete the "offers". Usually you'll have to do a survey every couple of days that'll take 30 minutes to an hour to complete.

Some are true while others are purely scam. Try to search first on the program you want to join.

Completing an offer is a boring task and it will pay you less than $1 ($0.25, $0.10, $0.20) and it will take a couple of minutes to complete.

I agree with the above posters telling you to not do it. There are better ways to earn money out there than this way.

    They are not all scams.

Here is how it works (with the legitimate ones) The site works with affiliates which pay them for getting people to complete offers. The site then shares that payment with the club member.

For example, lets say that a merchant/affiliate program pays 20.00 for a certain book club membership. The Incentive site will probably give its member between 10 and 12 dollars for joining the book club.

There are many different types of offers that are available for this sort of thing. It is a good idea to join an incentive site to check out what offers they have and what they are paying. If some of them are things you already planned to do anyway the payback is a good bonus.

As an example check out The Happy Cash Club at http://www.happycashclub.com

I know for a fact that this site is legitimate and pays - because I am the owner.

Yeah, cashcrate is real and you can earn money, but in my opinion it's not worth it.

If you're really desperate for cash, though it's pretty easy to make a few dollars with them.

A few of the things to check for with these work at home scams are -

Do they offer any contact information, beyond an anonymous PO Box number?
    How is payment made?
    When will you get paid?
Is there a minimum level at which you will get paid?

A lot of scams quote high pay rates but then make you jump through hoops to get a payment out of them, ie setting a minimum payment level of $1000 for instance.

Also, be wary of how much personal information they require as some of these types of sites are purely out to phish your details in order to steal your identity.

As others have said, do your homework and only choose a reputable scheme as there are many cowboys out there.

Incentive sites aren't there for a person to earn a living from or make substantial amounts of cash. They are there for people to get some extra cash.

I have had a lot of success with these programs, there are not as bad as everyone is saying they are.

I only do the free offers though, and you can probably earn a lot more with the paid offers, but you need to give credit card info.

They usually pay you after a month for the previous month's earnings (ie. earnings for June will be paid in July). The minimum payment varies from site to site, some sites have no minimum.

How long they take can vary; some are quite short like simply entering your email or filling out 1 form (of course, don't use your main email account because of spam).

I joined www.pureprofile.com a couple of years ago. (NOT an affiliate link! That's below :D)

It's the only genuine survey site I have found. So far I have made over $200.

The surveys are 20 minutes long at most. In fact most of the surveys are only a few questions long. You get between 10 cents and $5 per survey. It doesn't seem like much, but it adds up.

Yes it took me 2 years to make the money, but it's easy and free beer money.

Payment is only by deposit into your bank account but there will be more payment options soon according to their blog.

    Open to users worldwide.

Below is a recent payout (the $50 redemption).

You can sign up using the above URL. OR if you wish to do a fellow DP member a favor, I would very much appreciate it if you used my affiliate link to sign up. It's on the front page at www.biginfosite.com Pureprofile is the heading.

    Love yas all

Hi, Yes I have had 4 payouts so far. You can only take out $50 max at a time. Every few months when it adds up to over $50 I just request payment. Takes a couple of weeks but it always arrives.

That image is from my user panel on their site. You log in with a password to your own control panel thingy.

Like I said, this is the only one I have ever found that actually works and pays out as they say they will. I've tried quite a few others but gave up after a while.

Yes, i agree it takes a little while to accumulate the money, but it's not hard work and like I say above.... IT'S FREE BEER MONEY! WOOHOO!
