I had 'widgets' in one of my Ad Groups which had a minimum CPC of 0.15 ... it's a word that doesn't get many impressions but does lead to conversions. So... what I did was produce a new Ad Group called 'Widgets' - the Ad Title had 'widgets' in it and the URL was 'mywebsite1.com/widgets' ... I went into the new Ad Group and my min CPC was now 0.08! I thought right ok ... I went back and deleted it and made a brand new Ad Group called 'Widgets2' ... I had the same 2 Ads, but the only difference was I used a different domain ... 'mywebsite2.com/widgets' ... I went into the Ad Group and the minimum CPC was 0.05! Is this a way of finding out straight away which landing page & Ad Google will prefer, without the need to wait weeks? In other words .. is Quality Score worked out immediately when a new Ad Group has been created? If so, this seems a very good way to find out which is the best landing page to get the best possible Quality Score.
I find that there is an immediate quality score and then once the campaign has been running for a bit then my quality score is usually amended based on my CTR. You've obviously got some good history with your campaign and so that can help too. But don't get too carried away playing around with it - sometimes it can work the other way and go up the more you fiddle with it! Jill
