I have a month old site that has been indexed in Google right away, it got updated daily and my positon jumped around anywhere from #5 - #35. Although the googlebot comes around daily, no updates have happened since Jun3 28th(That's the last cache of my page). Since then I have made changes, added pages as well as submitted a site map. I have been @ #17 since then for my keyword. Is this what they call the sandbox?

    Hi

I have had my site for a little bit longer. Like you google visited early and indexed the site. However about a week ago the site went offline for a few hours and since then the cache of the index page disappeared from google. I am not quite sure why when you do a site search it shows no cache but search the full path plus index.php and it shows the caches page! I submitted a sitemap and it quickly showed that number of pages in the index but no cache for the ones not spidered. I link to a hotel booking engine and have created a few thousand pages, each for an indivual Hotel in England or France. The googlebot initially visited daily (sometimes twice) but in the last week it hasn't been coming out to play! I have submitted a new updated sitemap yesterday and it indexed 3 random pages today but it is all very confusing.
