Is this the correct affiliate link for Amazon?

I use some plugin that posts articles from Amazon and wanted to know if it is correct. I became suspicious as the sales has almost stopped.

The simplest way to ensure you can view which products were clicked on and keep your links simple is to use this format:

When you use the links generated by Amazon or their API they show up as 'Other' under the click report.

 

I am registering on amazon affiliate program, and I always get warning: Please specify a valid URL in this field. I don't know what I am doing wrong. I tried with www. or just with http:// but it won't work. What am I doing wrong?

I wrote on Amazon help and also he said, that something is wierd, that it should work, but doesn't work for him either... :S
