I have created my site by creating a template - at the top of the page I have a 728 x 90 leaderboard and in the left hand column I have a 120 x 600 skyscraper. So when I create a new page it means these are always there and I don't need to set up adsense every time I do a new page (I now have 300+ pages). My question is this - I'm getting some very low value clicks at the top of the page. Should I go the very laborious task of breaking the template down and manually placing these ad sections and creating a channel for each one? I know that if I do I will at least know which pages my clicks are coming from but this doesn't concern me - what I want to know is - will I get bigger value clicks if advertisers can pick specific pages or will Google just place the same ads anyway - in which case I'm wasting my time? Thanks Mark
Channels on every page? You mean a different channel for each and every page? That's just overkill and useless, just use a channel for "leaderboard" and one for "skyscraper"
is your site a one keyword site or a broad one?... cause if your targetting only one keyword you can do competitive ad filter and filter those ads showing up that iare MFAs...cause they pay little to none... and google only let you use 200 channels...and doing that on one site is stupid...
Hi, as you are going to go through you site and update things you should replace your adblock areas html with php div includes. This will enable you to quickly play about with advert positions/colours etc. generally the less adverts you show on a page the higher value and more relevant that they will be.
I have over 1000 pages for one site and each page has the ads in the same place. Each ad is pulled in from an .inc page so all i have to do is change the one file and all ads change on all 1000+ pages.
i use the library and template feauture of dreamwever in one of the site im handling...a big help if you will have more than 50 pages on your site...updates everything by just editing your library files...try it...
