    it is misleading people will think ads are menus for the pics

    chances are there you to get banned

    Nah ... I'm not using these at all.
    It's just that an adsense guru is advocating it.

    A recent policy update from google says that, you should not put any pictures or similar thing directly around an ad. Or they might ban your account eventually. So watch out.
