Is this Spam??

    Hi everyone,

I have a small question about link development, it is spam when I pay people to suggest other people who are looking for my product type?

    ex:

The Wine company is selling a good type of wine and in the forum named "xxxx" there is someone who is asking for a good wine and one of the people that I am paying to promote my product suggest my wine to this person and give him my website....

I believe that every product has it benefits and suggesting my product to users who are looking for those products is fair and legal... In the real world is legal to do that but I am not sure if on the internet it is....

    So is this spam???

    thanks

if someone is asking about a product and you are just recommending yours, then it is promotion and not spam

Choose the right place and right time to say that, then you are not spamming.

If you look at it like that, then every action an SEO takes is spam! After all, our job is to manipulate the SERPS!

Thank you guys for the answer now I have another question that is also confusing to me, I have saw that there are many services offering blog comments, and there are many people saying that blog comments service are spam, but what if I write complete, logic and constructive comments that are related to the blog post, and of course I will be using a link and the anchor text to my website on the name and website address.

I believe that comprehensive and well written comments is what bloggers want, so I don't think why in exchange of a good critic writing we cannot have a link back to our site, isn't that fair?

NOTE: I am talking about well written comments, not the one line spammy comments that we usually see like, "nice post" "I believe that jimmi's comment is right" or "This awsome".

    So what do you think?

Nope. I don't see is as a scam; it much look like a promotion for your website's product.

The keyword is unsolicited, if it is then its spam regardless that the user might like it or not

even if it is paid, if the comment is good and the commenter has a point in relation with the post I don't believe that it will be called spam

The thing is if you pay for it the comments the chances are that the comments wont be as good as were promised. Which would be spam.

But if your lucky enough to get someone who will take the time to do some research before they make a worthwhile comment or if its a subject they have knowledge in.

The chances are you wont find this person and at best will get OK answers.
Which in my opinion would be borderline spam.

I see, is correct what you are saying but I believe that we could change that by letting commenters know that their comments will be accepted if they add a worthwhile comment...

This will be a good idea if bloggers can add this explanation on their blogs
