i am a SEO reseller and i am looking for contacts and partners. One medium i use is skype. But there are many companies where i basically could send out emails and ask them whether they're interested in reselling my SEO services. I am not sure what to think about it and dont want to come along as a spammer. Calling businesses, like local ones would also make me feel like a tele-marketer. Let's say you're into SEO....what would be good way to build a nice customer-base in the web/hosting/design etc. area ? Georg
You can contact people by email, but only once, and never put them in any email list. Here is an example to AVOID: http://www.walkonmypath.com/cat-technologies/
Try to contact them by sending emails and say you are also available online to chat with them clearly.
Yes,best way is to contact them for exchanging links with yours so they consider you as not spam. But email only once.
those are all local businesses and very likely not even here on DP. What i do now is write a non-spammy personal email with a note at the end that this is a one-time email and they're not in any list and tehir email wont be used otherwise. I also give my MSN and phone number.
I think these type of forums are great for finding partners and new clients. telemarketing and Internet magazine advertisement are also effective. I receive loads of emails each day from freelance seo/web companies offering all sorts of services, fortunately my spam filters get most of them before hitting our servers. Due to the pure amount of automated emails, the ones that do get through are generally deleted. Spammers and Junk Mailers have spoilt email as being a good vehicle for promotion or introductions. imo
Well, if you're serious about particular clients, you could produce a quick report on their current rankings and quickly outline your strategy to improve it. Showing that you already know something about their site and have a specific reason for approaching them would make it less spammy. But if you are doing reselling, you won't be managing the SEO yourself? Why should anyone trust you with their online business? I get spam from SEO companies and my first question always is...if you're so good at SEO, why aren't your own SERP's bringing all the business you need? If you are offering local SEO, just optimize for your target area and it should be no problem. Or are you selling a service you couldn't take advantage of yourself?
Great thread - I'm interested on this one too as I need to exposed my service to more clients and seo consultants interested in reselling my service. Right now i'm only using forums.
