I was looking at this site that popped off of an email... http://www.moneyloanstoday.com I noticed that the links click through Overture before the final landing page, but nothing says "Ads by Yahoo". Was this removed by the publisher? Do you know how to do it? Are we allowed to do this? If I wanted to setup a page like this (for email traffic), will Yahoo approve a site that has no content? Any feedback will be great, thanks!
Mostlikely, the site is owned by a "top" performing Yahoo publisher. You would need to send a huge amount of volume (clicks) in order to become an approved "top" publisher. They don't require you to include the "Ads by Yahoo" link when you reach this status.
I believe they'll let you run a site without much content, so as long as the traffic (clicks) you send is of high quality. They keep a TQ score (traffic quality).
Might I speculate a bit. It could very well be in violation of the TOS. It's harder to report YPN sites. The site is new this year and has fairly good ranking. Probably a small group of people including programmers. Probably purchasing traffic (Arbitrage), Doubtful you could build that kind of traffic in an ethical manner (aside from throwing money at it). They could also be in bed with Malware/Adware companies. They could be using "contests" and running on sites like Maxbounty. But ultimately it just doesn't matter. Business is business and for now these guys have something that appears to be working. I personally don't see much value in the site. It's one of those ... like most MFA sites... where you hit the site see nothing and either click something or leave.
It's definitely an arbitrage site, but the original question was how do you remove the "Ads by Yahoo" link. The simple answer is you have to be a "top" producing publisher.
