Is this site "okay"?

    Hi guys,

I just noticed that www(dot)fs2004(dot)com is using adsense and intellitxt, which is also a contextual advertisement program. They use it in the entire forums, the knowledge base (KB) and some other sections. Isn't this a violation of ToS?

You would think so, wouldn't you? But no, Google allows this. My friend took great care to email Google about it and they told him it was fine. So who knows, Google seems to change their precious TOS everytime someone emails them. /shrug

Yes I would. This site is not small at all and this violation must have its impact in other flight simulator websites... It's kinda shocking to know that Google is okay with that. Thanks for your input mate!

Google and YPN! ads on the same page are a clear violation of Google's TOS. Products like IntelliTXT and Kontera's AdLinks walk a very gray area. Though they do not appear like AdSense's ad units in nature, they are contextual.

Kontera, however, has created an AdLinks product which neither looks like an AdSense unit AND is not contextual. It's called BroadMatch.

He's not talking about Yahoo and Adsense, but rather Adsense and Intellitext, which seems to be alright with Adsense. Yahoo and Adsenes are clear violations, and won't be allowed.
