Directories are costly?

I just saw PHPLINK DIRECTORY software costs 60$

nowhere in there does it say 60.

 

I believe PHPLD v2.0 is still free. There is link to download it on the PHPLD home page.

 

Yes he is correct its free to use and i have been using it for like 3 weeks now and got already 800+ links already

My 2 cents

PHPLD is pretty much an industry standard. The advantages of this are:

(a) software gets thrashed so bugs are identified & fixed quickly.
(b) active & responsive user forum so if you have a problem there's a great chance someone can help
(c) Being so popular - customers will find it easy to submit a link - which means more links and visitors for you.
(d) If you decide to sell your directory its easier because the buyer knows theres good support for it.

I'm not an expert & yes I do have a directory using this script.

BTW I was able to recover the cost of the script in my first week & only soft launched my directory.
