I have acquire a link from about.com yesterday. But wasn't sure if it's SE friendly.(IMO this is not SE friendly) Please let me know if I'm right. here is the code where my link is placed. <div><a href="http://clk.about.com/?zi=1/XJ&sdn=skiing&zu=http://www.abc-of-skiing.com/" onClick="zT(this,'18/1R4/Wb')" class="ol">A-B-C of Skiing</a><br/>Skiing information, news, travel and shopping.</div> Code (markup):
Don't be 100% sure. Google does count Yahoo's and Business.com's links. Did you had a look at them lately ? http://rds.yahoo.com/S=148456:D1/CS=148456/SS=13999545/SIG=10vorq5qv/*http%3A//www.cheatplanet.com/ Code (markup):
Thanks for the replies buddy! So I understand that traffic is the only benefit I will get from this link right? Or the 1% Expertu talking about. Expertu, may I know what is exactly the benefit I will get with the 1% you're talking about.
What I actually said is that there's a 1% chance that your link might indeed trasfer PR and anchor weight (trust). Only Google knows. I would advise you to just consider that link only for the click traffic it will bring. It's healthier this way
Thanks Expertu. Anyway I will try to contact again Michael about this issue. I wonder if he will approved my request to change my link into a SE friendly. Only god knows!
On About.com ? Nope .. They do not provide direct links. If they did that, I (or others) would've taken spots a long time ago.
expertu, this seems more seo friendly than that edit: and yahoo, business.com are well known companies, so google could have modified the script especially for them
OMG, too bad for my site.anyway I will try my luck on the 1% you're talking about. I will try my luck also to contact again Michael. The page is PR7 so I don't mind spending lot of time to get my SE friendly links on their pages.
