Hi, recently I got a script that create site using search engines of MSN such as use msn websearch, msn news search, msn photo search. I create a site for testing purpose today but not sure whether this site violating TOS or not and whether this type of site lead to ban my domain from search engines like google, yahoo and msn.

hmmm. I installed it again and got the same blank page as u. I post about this problem in the forum of that script. Thanks god I didn't buy it. But I got it free :( and the site looked pretty nice.

But I m thinking to buy 'nichecreator' from http://www.nichecreator.com that uses yahoo news rss. what do u think about it? Is it against adsense TOS? Is it search engine favorable?

Looks like a scraper/MFA/junk site to me. Though I'm not in charge of labeling a site as such, you are not supposed to put adsense of sites specifically made for adsense. (mfa).

And no they are not "search engine favorable"

Why don't you just make a real site with real content. You'll be better off in the long run.

Corinaw, I share your anger and frustation about sites like these. In fact when I check my visitor logs I see few people coming from these pages to sites (yeah, those sites use my content with nofollow link) and it just ads insult to injury.

I reported such sites to adsense, but no use. I brought it to attention of adwords customer service agent (through my adwords account) and she/he told me that site is not breaking TOS.

So its just comes down to fact that google certainly want to give such sites bit slack as long as they are generating good traffic, afterall these sites make them big bucks.

    Its not perfect world!

I have seen big sites doing what you are doing (gada.be), so at least you will be not banned from search engines (unless your are really unlucky that they pick on you).

Other things are just fine but remove the image results as they can be copyrighted

Well you can use that script, its not against the Adsense.
thsi kind of sites called Scrapper Sites, in other words MFA(Made for Adsense), but sometimes these sites are usful, since they provide the visitors what they want. It works like a directory, provides a direct link to the real site.

Not true, in MSN when I do a link: search for my sites, I see a bunch of scrapper sites pop up in SERP. so they are not no-follow, and they dont use your content, they use content of a certain SE. the content they are using is just a summary of your total content as they appear in Search Engine.
and the most Important thing, Scrapper sites do provide you traffic.

Your views appear to be pretty balanced, mine are definitely biased as I for some unknown reason feel that scrapper sites are un-ethical. May be I should think over :)

(by the way, I hate and admire gada.be equally)

I agree 100% that scrapper sites are un-ethical, and huge waste of time, but they are not utterly useless.

My site gets referrals from scrapper sites-

Though there must be a financial incentive (and sucess rate!) for these type of junk sites, I'm in it for the long haul, and I'm not going to waste my time on a here today, gone tomorrow site.

I don't really think they are unethical- just non value add- (I hate finding this crap when I search- Namely NO CONTENT!).

So I'd rather spend my precious time and money on something that I feel good about, and something I don't spend my time looking over my shoulder on.

I've not got the temperament for that kind of stuff. And imo- "real sites" do just fine. No tricks needed.
