Is this right? You be the judge

    Good morning,

We recently received an email from CJ compliance telling us that our account has been deleted and that all of our commission earning has been revoked.

The reason provided was that we had some traffic from proxy servers.

We have a incentive site, and our number one priority as an incentive site is fraud. We have staff who monitor users on regular basis. Also, it is clearly stated in our Terms and Conditions that members using Proxy Servers are not permitted to register at our site....so Fraud is a big priority for our business.

Now, at times, no matter how good your fraud detection program is, some will get through. Some will try to complete offers from CJ and advertisers catch and reverse the sale.

Now, we have tried to plead our case with CJ, but they don't seem to want to listen. They have not paid us and have terminated our account.

Is it right to do this to a publisher, who clearly tries to avoid any fraudulent activities from members? Who has sent so many valid members to CJ?

If is a little frustrating knowing that the commission that we had generated from valid users are now voided.

I would like to hear your thoughts on this!!!! Thank you

Try to find another network that value's its affiliates.. I hate hearing stories of legitimate affiliates sending networks legitimate traffic and not being paid..

There are honestly TONS of good networks to look at aside from CJ..

But I would also be hounding CJ for money owed.. go up the latter and bug as many people as you need to

Give it a week after your last response. It should not matter if people who visit your site use proxies. after one week HOUND them like h e double hockey sticks....

How long have you been an "incentive" member over at cj.com?

How much money are we talking about?

thats bad, i guess its used to protect sellers however if a person is still buying through proxie servers wouldnt the publisher still be making money anyway?

your thought is right mytvtalk but what cj thinks is the op is using proxies to sign up for his own offers, it happens and is super easy to do and the money side can get ppl greedy and stupid.

CJ frowns on proxies - much like the DEA frowns on cocaine trafficking :). Proxy traffic will get you ejected like a rocketship. My guess is that your incentive site drew people who were trying to take advantage of you, and your proxy detection, etc. simply wasn't as good as CJs. No, it's not right, but that's just how CJ operates.

Be careful with CJ - you haven't earned anything with them until the check has cleared. Regardless of your "balance" with them - you have to treat it like monopoly money until you have it. I would even move the money out of the account I deposit to, lest they try to suck it back out after they decide to reverse your earnings. It's happened.
