Hi, I am thnking of moving away from Namecheap to name.com as they are over $2 cheaper and provide the same services as Namecheap. Moreover I have an issue with ths company at this time. - are they any good and are they a big player ? Anbody had any problems with them ? Thanks - Joe
Name.com is ICANN Accredited Registrar so never doubt. I have got more than 60 domain(trasnferred for other registrar and registering new domains from name.com). Their support maybe a little slow but if you expreienced managing your domains I think you don't need support.
Never had any issues with Name.com, have most of my .com there. Haven't used their support at all as never needed them. But I highly recommend them.
Only trust ICANN accredited registrars. That way you have total control of your domain names. http://www.icann.org/registrars/accredited-list.html If you are considering to buy a hosting space that offers a free domain name, make sure the company name is listed in the ICANN accredited list. Or else you'll risk yourself losing the domain name, or become slave customer to the hosting provider. Because you'll have no control of your domain name whatsoever. Beware guys. Do NOT buy domain names or hosting service from these companies as i had terrible experience dealing with them. Terrible companies they are, they wont let your domain names go easily i tell you. Globat.com (domainsarefree.com) Lunarpages.com Nomonthlyfees.com
Name.com and Domainsite.com (both the same company) gets my vote I use them a lot Friendly company, one time spoke with their CEO too
