Is this real or some prank from a friend?

I got a mail from gmail team asking if my account is active, check below :

Has anyone got this type of mail before or is it just a prank from someone I know ?

 

why would you post your email to your public forum profile? you are very prone to scam.

I would say this is a scam and seeing that they bcc you, says that they sent this email to more than just you. I'd just delete it.

 

It's a scam for sure! Be careful with these gmail or paypal.

 

Yes, this time it was a different mail, friends please beware and do not click any links in such mails, my account was hacked for atleast 20 mins and later realized that some random mails were sent to my friends from my email id

 

One more on its way from spammers claiming to be from google, be careful for such mails :

 

i receive the similar mail ask to active the gmail account or it will be suspended within 48hours. Just ignore them, those are all scam
